Terms of Use
Terms for Sapanca.org web/mobile content, live data, membership, business directory, annual Premium, store, orders and returns.
Last updated: 30 October 2026
1Scope and Acceptance
These Terms of Use apply to all services published through the Sapanca.org City and Tourism Portal website, mobile application, connected pages and administration panel. By using the portal, you confirm that you have read these terms and will comply with applicable law. Privacy and personal-data processing are explained separately in the Privacy Policy and Privacy Notice.
2Portal Services
Sapanca.org provides news, announcements, events, obituaries, the Sapanca guide, places, routes, businesses, accommodation, food/drink, activities, blog and galleries. Transport, pharmacies, weather, air quality, traffic, lake/dam levels, gold/exchange rates and recent earthquake information depend on relevant sources and integrations. The live display can present city information together.
Membership, business applications/claims and profile changes, Free/Premium directory, store, cart, member/guest orders, payments, invoices, returns, newsletters and mobile notifications are available when enabled. General browsing does not require an account; specific account/business actions may require membership.
3Informational Purpose and Accuracy
Information is provided for general information and travel planning. News, events, businesses, routes, addresses, prices, opening hours, transport and contact details may change after publication. Before making an important decision, users must verify information with the relevant business, organiser, municipality, public authority, carrier or other authorised source. Sapanca.org makes reasonable efforts for accuracy and currency but does not guarantee that every item is uninterrupted, complete, error-free or current at all times. Errors and outdated information may be reported through the Contact page.
4Live City, Market and Earthquake Data
Weather, air quality, traffic, pharmacies, water levels, gold/exchange rates and earthquakes may come from OpenWeatherMap, Open-Meteo, TomTom, eczaneapi, Sakarya SASKI, AFAD and relevant market sources. Delays, estimates, connectivity issues or display of the last successful record may cause information to differ from current conditions. Check the displayed source and update time.
This information does not replace official warnings, medical advice or emergency help. Earthquake lists are not early warnings or predictions. Follow competent authorities for weather, road and water safety; confirm pharmacy details directly. Call 112 for emergencies.
Gold and exchange rates are informational, not investment advice, an offer to trade or a guarantee of an executable price. Confirm current prices with the authorised financial institution before a transaction. Live-display and cached views have the same limitations.
5Bus, Taxi and Charging-Station Information
Bus schedules, stops, taxi contact details and electric-vehicle charging points can change over time. The current information of the provider controls for cancellations, delays, tariffs, capacity, faults, fees and opening hours. Confirm information before travelling or planning a charge. Sapanca.org is not a transport, taxi or charging-service provider.
6Maps, Routes and Travel Suggestions
Map markers, distances, route descriptions and estimated durations are for guidance only. Road works, private property, seasonal conditions, physical ability, forest and shoreline rules or safety restrictions may affect a route. Users must comply with traffic rules, private-area boundaries, environmental rules and authority warnings. Sapanca.org is not a navigation or emergency service.
7Business and Tourism Directory
Business cards may include name, category, address, telephone, opening hours, price range, map, social-media or promotional information. Listing a business does not mean that Sapanca.org provides a guarantee, official approval, quality certificate or recommendation. Reservations, purchases, payments, cancellations, refunds and services are concluded between the user and the relevant business. Sponsored or advertising content is identified where appropriate. Users must confirm prices, conditions, licences, safety and service currency directly with the business before transacting.
8Obituaries
Obituaries are published for community information without photographs and according to information entered through the administration panel. Names, dates of death, funeral programmes, prayer and burial locations may change after an announcement from family or an authorised source. The latest announcement from the family or relevant institution controls. Incorrect, incomplete or removable notices can be reported to info@sapanca.org or through the Contact page. Disrespectful use, bulk extraction, disturbing communication or commercial processing of obituary information is prohibited.
9Events, News and Gallery Content
Event date, time, venue, fee and participation conditions may change or an event may be cancelled by the organiser. News may be corrected or updated as an event develops. Gallery photos and videos may be produced by the portal or embedded from authorised external platforms. Travel, accommodation, reservation or other expenses caused by attending an event or relying on content are the user's responsibility. Check the organiser's and official source's latest announcement.
10Contact Forms and User Messages
When sending a contact message, news tip, advertising, business or event request, users must provide accurate, current and lawful information. Do not submit another person's personal data, sensitive data, copyright-infringing content, insults, threats, misleading advertising, malicious links or unlawful material. A text or suggestion sent through a form is not automatically published. Sapanca.org may review it, request verification, reject it, shorten it or edit it for editorial standards. A sender submitting content for publication confirms that they hold the necessary rights and permissions.
11Prohibited Uses
The following are prohibited: testing, bypassing or disrupting portal security; attempting unauthorised access; sending malware, automated requests, spam, scraping or excessive traffic; impersonating another person or organisation; using content in a way that infringes personality, copyright, trademark or other rights; collecting obituaries, contact details or directory data for unsolicited messages, profiling or commercial list building; and using the portal for unlawful, discriminatory, threatening or public-safety-endangering purposes. Access may be restricted, records retained for security review and authorities contacted where necessary.
12Intellectual Property Rights
The Sapanca.org name, interface design, original texts, graphics, database arrangement, photographs and other portal-produced material belong to Sapanca.org or the relevant rights holder. Content may be viewed for personal, non-commercial use; it may not be bulk copied, republished, sold, licensed or transferred to another database without attribution or permission. Short quotations from news are permitted only to the extent allowed by law and must identify Sapanca.org and link to the relevant page. Rights in third-party trademarks, photographs, maps and videos belong to their respective owners.
13External Links and Third-Party Services
The portal may link to or embed Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, YouTube, Vimeo, WhatsApp, Facebook and similar external services. Their content, privacy, cookie, accessibility, security and terms are determined by their own providers. Activities after navigating to an external site are outside Sapanca.org's control.
14Mobile Application, Membership and Notifications
General mobile content can be viewed without an account; membership/account features depend on the available release. Access tokens use secure device storage. Security changes or expiry may require signing in again.
Notifications are optional. Categories can be disabled in the app and all notifications through device settings. Favourites, theme, dismissed notifications and cache may be stored on the device. The application uses internet/network functionality; current code does not request precise location permission. Device data can be managed in device/application settings.
15Service Changes and Availability
Sapanca.org may change, temporarily suspend or remove a feature, content item, category structure or external integration for security, maintenance, data-source, editorial or legal reasons. Continuous availability is not guaranteed because of planned or unexpected outages, maintenance, internet infrastructure or external-provider failures.
16Limitation of Liability
Sapanca.org exercises reasonable care for accuracy and security. To the extent permitted by law, it is not liable for indirect losses arising from third-party data or services, user devices, connection issues, information changes or a user's failure to verify information. This does not remove mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including intentional misconduct or gross negligence where applicable.
17Changes, Governing Law and Contact
These Terms may be updated when portal features or legislation change. The current version and effective date are published on this page. The law of the Republic of Türkiye applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights and rights to apply to competent authorities. For questions about these Terms, content corrections or portal use, contact info@sapanca.org or use the Contact page.
18Membership Account
Members must provide accurate and current information, protect their passwords, monitor activity carried out through their accounts and promptly report unauthorised use. Creating an account for another person, gaining unauthorised access, providing misleading information, sending spam or automated requests, or disrupting service security is prohibited. Sapanca.org may limit or close an account for security, legal compliance or breach of these terms.
19Business Application, Claim and User Content
Anyone submitting a business or claim request declares that they are authorised to represent the business, that submitted information is accurate and that they hold the required rights for text, images, trademarks and other content. A request is not published automatically. Sapanca.org may review content, ask for further information, reject it or edit it for legal and editorial compliance. The user accepts that submitted content is lawful, accurate and does not infringe third-party rights. Information, prices, hours, reservations, products and services on a business page remain the responsibility of the relevant business. A directory listing is not a quality guarantee, official approval or recommendation.
20Free and Annual Premium Directory
Free provides standard directory visibility without payment. Premium offers the profile, promotion and visibility features shown before payment; it does not guarantee visits, search rank, reservations or sales. Scope, annual price, currency, taxes and automatic renewal conditions are displayed before payment. Payment may use iyzico.
New business applications require review; payment does not mean automatic publication. The review result is communicated through the relevant contact channel. Rejected applications and payment disputes are handled through support and applicable sales documents.
Annual start/end dates and renewals follow pre-payment information and provider-verified transaction records. Cancellation may stop renewal at the end of the current period; cancellation, withdrawal and refund are separate actions. Failed renewal or expiry may suspend Premium features. Continued Free listing remains subject to publication/content rules.
Current pre-contract information and sales/service agreements are separately presented and accepted before payment. These Terms do not replace them. Statutory withdrawal, refund and other mandatory rights remain reserved.
21Store, Orders, Delivery and Returns
When enabled, the store displays product, variant, stock, price, preparation and delivery information. Orders may use a member account or the supported guest flow. Keep guest-order secure links private. Check total price, shipping, delivery/billing addresses and order summary before payment.
Seller/provider identity, pre-contract information and the sales agreement are presented separately at checkout. Order/payment status can be followed through an account or secure order screen. Preparation/delivery timing depends on product, stock and carrier conditions. Invoices, order and return documents are associated with the transaction.
Cancellation, withdrawal, returns, defective-product and refund requests are assessed under the order documents and applicable law. Receiving a return request does not mean a refund has completed; results are confirmed through payment/transaction records. Mandatory consumer rights remain reserved.
Direct reservations or purchases with a directory business involve that business. For portal-store transactions, seller identity and Sapanca.org's role are specified in the sales documents; this general text alone does not establish a seller or intermediary role.
22Payment Security and Separate Sales Documents
Card details are processed through the payment provider's form; Sapanca.org does not store card numbers or security codes. Provider terms also apply. Check amount, currency, annual/automatic renewal conditions and order summary. Seek support before paying again when a previous result is uncertain.
Current store/Premium sales documents must be presented and their relevant version accepted. Accepted versions and transaction snapshots may be retained. Technical errors or suspicious-transaction reviews do not remove statutory refund or consumer rights.
Business directory content responsibility
The person submitting or updating a listing is responsible for the accuracy, currency and lawfulness of all information, descriptions, images, prices, services and other statements. Sapanca.org does not guarantee these statements and, except where legally liable, is not responsible for losses arising from this content or transactions with businesses. Review before publication or Premium membership does not constitute verification or a guarantee of the business or its statements.
Content that violates public morality, is misleading, false, fraudulent, unlawful or infringes the rights of others may not be published. When such content is identified, the content or business listing may be removed. Publication, promotion and Premium fees paid for listings removed due to these violations are non-refundable, subject to mandatory statutory refund rights and other mandatory legal provisions.
